John Wesley taught that by God’s grace Christians continue to grow spiritually throughout their lives. Through acts of love for God and our neighbor, United Methodists ready ourselves to receive the ways in which God will enrich our spiritual journeys.
Baptism
The United Methodist Church recognizes the two sacraments in which Christ himself participated: baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Baptism joins Christians everywhere and is a symbol of new life and forgiveness of sins; baptized in water in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Ongoing Groups
Adults gather at various times throughout the week to fellowship with other adults while discussing the Bible and faith issues. Join with other members of your faith community to discuss biblical topics as well as relevant Christian issues. No previous biblical knowledge is necessary, unless noted for particular studies. We encourage open and honest dialogue where all opinions are respected. For complete class descriptions, check the Welcome Center or the Voice of the Spirit Newsletter.

Big Tent follows the tenets of Luke 10:27, “He (Jesus) answered, ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” We hope that everyone may find a place of belonging.
